Raw, Organic Cacao Powder

      The Journal of the American Medical Association, Cornell University, Harvard and others have recently presented very convincing evidence that  cacao powder is one of the world’s healthiest foods.

~ Cacao powder is made from cacao beans which are the seed of a fruit that grows on the cacao tree. Cacao trees originated in the Amazon basin.

~  Cacao beans contain many substances that make them a Natural  Anti-depressant.

~ Dark chocolate is the number one antioxidant food with approximately twice as many antioxidants as red wine and three times as many as green tea.

~ Cacao beans are rich in a number of essential minerals, including magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron, zinc, copper, potassium and manganese.

~ Cacao is high in the beauty mineral sulfur. Sulfur builds strong nails and hair, promotes beautiful skin, detoxifies the liver, and supports healthy pancreas functioning.

     Cacao Butter is a natural fat that is extracted from the cocoa bean. It has  many profound health benefits including:

~ High magnesium levels in high quality chocolate containing cocoa butter can prevent the progesterone drop that leads to PMS.

~ Cacao Butter has a large amount of CMP (Cocoa Mass Polyphenol) which is a chemical that helps to prevent heart disease as well as treat the symptoms of arthritis and dermatitis.

~ Cacao  butter in dark chocolate can lower LDL (bad cholesterol levels. Also, cocoa butter contains oleic acid, an unsaturated fat that raises HDL (good cholesterol) levels.

      Agave is a succulent plant, related to the yucca and lily, that grows in the southern and western United States and in central and tropical South America. Why is agave healthier than sugar? Sugar is a processed substance with no nutritive value, other than calories. Agave, has a desirable low-glycemic index which means that it won’t cause a sharp rise or fall in blood sugar.

~ Agave contains saponins which are found on many plant roots and have anti-inflammatory and immune system-boosting properties, including antimicrobial capability.

~ Agave contains fructans. Inulin, a type of fructan, can be effective in weight loss because of its low impact on blood sugar and its ability to increase satiety and decrease appetite. Inulin is also associated with lowering cholesterol, reducing the risk of certain cancers, and increasing the absorption of nutrients, such as isoflavones, calcium and magnesium.
